Paez excited to play against his 'friend' from Sundowns

Cape Town - Gustavo Paez of Kaizer Chiefs says that he is looking forward to playing against his friend and Mamelodi Sundowns striker, Leonardo Castro.

Chiefs currently occupy fourth position on the Premiership log while The Brazilians find themselves in fifth place, just two points behind the Glamour Boys. A win for the Chloorkop side would see them move ahead of Amakhosi with the benefit of games in hand.

However, a victory for Chiefs would see them keep pressure the on SuperSport United, Bidvest Wits and Cape Town City in the race for the Absa Premiership title.

Paez revealed that he and Castro share the view that Saturday's clash is highly significant.

"Oh yes, I’m really excited. My wife and I visited my friend from Sundowns, Leonardo Castro, a few days ago and we spoke about how crucial this game is for our respective teams," Paez said as quoted from the club's official website.

"We are both looking forward to playing against each other. We forget about our friendship on the field of play and focus on getting the three points.

"I've been watching a lot of their games and I know their style of play."

Kick off is at 20:15 on Saturday evening.
