Cape Town - Orlando Pirates are reportedly preparing a massive bad for Bidvest Wits defender and Bafana Bafana captain Thulani Hlatshwayo.
It seems the Sea Robbers are intent on strengthening in the heart of defence following some fragility at times between regular starters Happy Jele and Alfred Ndengane.
Hlatshwayo is widely regarded as South Africa's premier centre-back and it seems Bucs are planning to break the bank to acquire his services.
A source told KickOff: "There has been informal talks between Orlando Pirates and his agent in the past, but the stumbling block was the number of years in his contract.
"Hlatshwayo's desire has always been to play for Pirates.
"Pirates' management has had serious discussions about the possibility of signing Hlatshwayo. The new offer could be tempting."
The Sea Robbers have already made a raft of new signing ahead of 2019/20 with the likes of Joris Delle, Gabadinho Mhango, Austine Muwowo, Kabelo Dlamini, Bongani Sam, Tebogo Tlolane, Pule Maraisane, Fortune Makaringe, Siphesihle Ndlovu and Tshegofatso Mabasa all coming on board.
