Odhiambo confident of Zesco win against SuperSport

Cape Town - Zesco United defender David Odhiambo is hopeful his side can beat SuperSport United in Saturday's CAF Confederation Cup quarter-final second leg at home.

Both teams drew the first leg encounter 0-0 and it appears there is everything now to play for in the second leg which will take place at the Levy Mwanawasa Stadium in Ndola.

He told Zambia's Daily Mail, "I think coming home with a draw is not a bad result considering we still have a chance here at home. I am sure everyone knows what is at stake. We will give our best to ensure we come out with a win on Saturday.

The Kenya international, who has scored twice in the competition, added, "No, I won't say we are so confident that we will get a result because we have not been losing at home, but it's all about preparations and hard work and ensure we maintain that winning streak at home."

Team Ya Ziko have done well in continental tournaments in recent times having reached the semi-finals of the CAF Champions League last season. In that edition of Africa's most prestigious club competition, they lost to eventual champions Mamelodi Sundowns.

Kick off is at 19:00.

I'd keep Siya captain for now, but look to have someone else for 2027.
