Cape Town - Baroka FC coach Wedson Nyirenda has praised the contribution of his captain Mduduzi Mdantsane to the Limpopo team and said the skipper is destined to reach greater heights in the game.
Mdantsane and his Baroka teammates wrote their names into the history books of South African football when they became the first team from the Limpopo province to lift an official trophy in the PSL when they won the Telkom Knockout earlier this season.
Bakgaga, however, have not kicked on from that momentous achievement and still find themselves in a relegation dog fight with nine games of the season remaining.
Nyirenda gave special recognition to his skipper, who is only 24-years-old, as they try to avoid the drop at all costs.
The Baroka mentor said about Mdantsane: "He is a very important player. I think he is a pillar of strength for this team. He makes things easy," said Nyirenda.
"Mduduzi will make mistakes, you talk to him, he will come back and do things better. He trains hard and I see him going places in his football career."
Nyirenda will hope Mdantsane can inspire his troops to victory when they take on Polokwane City in a Limpopo derby on Sunday.
