Nyathi returns to Ajax Cape Town

Cape Town - Ajax Cape Town have announced that former Bafana Bafana defender David Nyathi has returned to the Absa Premiership club to assume a role in the development ranks.

Nyathi enjoyed an excellent spell at iKamva in his first stint, winning the Under-19 Metropolitan Cup while developing one of the most successful crop of youngsters from the club's esteemed academy to date.

Abbubaker Mobara, Rivaldo Coetzee, Riyaad Norodien and Hashim Domingo were all prominent figures under the stewardship of Nyathi and his return comes as no surprise.

The Urban Warriors announced that the 48-year-old will serve as an assistant to Duncan Crowie for the Young Ajax side who are part of the ABC Motsepe League and the MultiChoice Diski Challenge.

"We are delighted to welcome former Bafana Bafana international David Nyathi back to Ikamva. He has been appointed as assistant coach to Young Ajax boss Duncan Crowie," read a statement on the club's official Twitter account.
