Cape Town - Kaizer Chiefs striker Samir Nurkovic has re-affirmed his ambitions that he has joined the club to win trophies and bring success back to Naturena.
Nurkovic has made a major impact in his first few games for Chiefs - scoring his first Premiership goal in the 1-1 draw with SuperSport United while producing a Man-of-the-Match display in Tuesday's 2-1 victory over Cape Town City.
The Serbian played an instrumental role in attack as he helped his side come from behind following Kermit Erasmus' early strike. Goals from Daniel Cardoso and Kearyn Baccus sealed the three points for the Glamour Boys.
He told SuperSport TV: "It was the second game in four days and it was tough for us.
"The opponent was good. They scored at the beginning of the match and it's very hard when you're chasing the result. But in the end, everything ended good for us.
"I want to say thank you for this award. I appreciate it.
"I think one word can describe our performance. Never give up. We didn't give up. We played till the end and when you work hard and give everything from yourself, you get to win in the end.
"Well I came in this club to win some trophies and we work hard for that. We respect every opponent and we go from game to game and week to week. The coach did a very good job."
