Jazzman Mahlakgane says it is impossible to give an update on Siphelele Ntshangase's future until football resumes after the lockdown.
The 26-year-old former Black Leopards midfielder has been at Kaizer Chiefs since 2018 but has yet to feature for the side this season.
It remains unclear when the Premier Soccer League will be able to continue as the world battles the spread of the coronavirus.
The player's agent told Soccer Laduma that he has had no indication from Amakhosi that Ntshangase will be moving on when his contract expires at the end of the season.
He said: "I think it is difficult to give an update on his future when not much is happening.
"He is training like everyone else via these virtual programs and obviously once football starts up again, we can have the discussion.
"The club has to be the one telling me that I have to look for a club for him, and as I speak to you now, I have not had that conversation with them."
