Cape Town - Experienced Mamelodi Sundowns duo Thabo Nthethe and Asavela Mbekile appear to be in their final few months with the club.
Former Bloemfontein Celtic centre-back Nthethe has been a key man at the back for the Brazilians over the last few years and played an integral role in the club's Champions League success of 2016.
His game-time has been severely limited this season though as he finds himself behind Ricardo Nascimeto, Wayne Arendse, Bangaly Soumahoro and Motjeka Madisha in the pecking order.
Mbekile, meanwhile, has been used as a utility player at Sundowns, either at right back or in central midfield, but has never really nailed down a place.
According to the two players' agent, Tim Sukazi, it's time for them to seek greener pastures come the end of the season.
"Sundowns had an option (to renew Nthethe's contract). The date for the option of his contract has passed and Sundowns haven't said anything. He is not playing and he will leave. Both of them will leave," Sukazi told IOL.
