Norodien excited with Ertugral reunion

Cape Town - New Orlando Pirates winger Riyaad Norodien expressed his excitement at the prospect of being able to work with head coach Muhsin Ertugral at the Buccaneers.

The 21-year-old signed with the Sea Robbers from Ajax Cape Town and was a junior in the Urban Warriors academy when Ertugral was at the helm a few seasons ago.

Norodien is expected to form part of the new direction at Pirates with a tactician who is fond of bringing young players through.

"It will be an honour for me to work with coach Muhsin again. He is the one who promoted me to the senior team at Ajax," Norodien told KickOff.

"I haven't really gotten the proper opportunity to play under him for long. But I hope this changes at Pirates as he is the greatest coach."

I'd keep Siya captain for now, but look to have someone else for 2027.
