Nkosi impressed by Molangoane impact

Cape Town - Former Kaizer Chiefs playmaker Siyabonga Nkosi claims the arrival of Joseph Molangoane rejuvenated the Amakhosi squad before the mid-season break.

Molangoane arrived at Naturena after a prolonged dispute with former club Chippa United over whether he was able to join the Soweto giants on a free transfer.

However, after the case was resolved with the league committee, the former Platinum Stars winger excelled under the management of Steve Komphela, producing a couple of man-of-the-match displays from the right flank.

"He has absolutely brought a new approach to the team's style of play because the game of football is all about trying to get into the box and in front of goal," Nkosi told Goal.com website.

"I felt that the previous games Chiefs struggled to get forward by not choosing the right options that are going to get them into good scoring positions or dangerous positions.

"I think Molangoane is able to do that now. He is able to provide that whether it's through runs into the box or combination play.

"I think going forward there's a lot of potential in him to make an impact in the team. He is a good offensive player that always gets into the box and he creates chances for his team-mates."
