Ndoro: It's a team effort

Cape Town - Tendai Ndoro directed any individual praise onto his team-mates after his solitary goal earned Orlando Pirates a 1-0 win over FS Stars.

The forward struck early on at the Orlando Stadium this weekend to eventually hand the Buccaneers the vital victory, which left them eight points off the Premiership's top three with six games remaining this season.

The goal also made it three in two for Ndoro, who bagged a brace in Pirates' Nedbank Cup last-16 win over Jomo Cosmos last weekend, although the striker preferred to deflect any praise to the team's performance against what he described as a tough Ea Lla Koto outfit.

"Thanks to my team-mates, it's not about me, but [team] effort," he said after the match.

"You'll see we didn't manage to play our normal game because we wanted to score an early goal and that's what we did and Free State Stars played well, so the best team won today.

"It was difficult when I joined the team, you know the team was playing in cups so it was difficult for me to break in.

"But thanks to Orlando Pirates for giving me the chance of playing, I wish I can do better in the next games."
