Ndoro: I'll keep on pushing

Mbombela - Orlando Pirates striker Tendai Ndoro says as a target man goals are expected from him and he intends to bang in more going forward.

The Zimbabwean international grabbed a brace in Pirates 3-1 win over Mpumalanga Black Aces after coming on as a substitute at the Mbombela Stadium on Sunday.

Thabo Rakhale scored an opener for Pirates in the 5th minute of their encounter before the inform Collins Mbesuma leveled matters seven minutes later.

Prior to their weekend clash, Ndoro last scored a goal in March 2015 while playing for AmaZayoni against Pirates in a premiership clash and he has expressed his delights after breaking a 11-month long drought against his former team.

However, Ndoro praised his team-mates for their support citing that they kept pushing him to fight for his place when he was still on the side lines.

“I just want to thank my teammates who kept pushing and supporting me when I was not playing," insisted Ndoro.

“They kept pushing me throughout the difficult period and today (Sunday) I wanted to play so much and I did very well for the team.

“As a striker I know that I have to score goals often, yes it might not happen every day but I must score goals.

“That feeling always run in your blood as a striker and you can’t fight it, so I managed to score a brace because the second goal was also credited to me.”

Ndoro will be hoping to keep the momentum going in the Buccaneers next league fixture against Bloemfontein Celtic at home on Saturday.
