Ncobeni: AmaZulu haven't been creating chances

Cape Town - AmaZulu forward Jabulani Ncobeni admits Usuthu have to convert their goal opportunities if they are to have any chance of victory against Wits on Saturday.

The KZN-based team have fallen to disappointing defeats in their last two games - going down 4-1 to Orlando Pirates and then losing 2-1 to Maritzburg in the provincial derby.

Usuthu are currently 11th on the PSL table and still have hopes of picking enough points to reach the Top eight but Ncobeni knows where they have to improve.

Ncobeni said: "We haven't been creating chances as a team, so for us to finish in the top eight we need to start creating and scoring again.

"As players we understand what needs to be done going forward, we want to fight till the end of the season and this Saturday we need to collect maximum points."

Ncobeni also said they are not taking any notice of Wits' poor form recently with the Students having not won in their lost two matches.

The Clever Boys drew with 1-1 Sundowns and then lost 3-2 at home to Cape Town but remain in contention to lift the league title.

Ncobeni said about Amazulu's opponents on Saturday: "Their recent form doesn't mean anything, we also had a challenging period, it won't be an easy game as they're also in a title race, we just need to make sure we get a positive result.

"We have to win all our home games remaining and at least try to get a point away as we haven't been doing well on the road, then we can finish in the top eight."

Kick-off is at 20:15.
