Mzava close to securing Highlands Park deal

Cape Town - Highlands Park are reportedly on the verge of signing Malawi international and former Golden Arrows defender Limbikani Mzava.

Mzava left the side after having spent three seasons in Durban during which time he made 82 appearances while scoring four Premiership goals.

An earlier report had suggested he was moving to Gauteng with a switch to Soweto giants Orlando Pirates said to be on the cards.

However, KickOff now state that the Lions of the North are winning the race to land the 25 year old's signature.

A source told the publication: "Mzava is currently in Gauteng. He is having talks with Highlands Park and if things go well he will sign with the club."

Coach Owen da Gama's men are in the process of strengthening ahead of 2019/20 and already have Rodney Ramagalela in their ranks from Polokwane City.

Former Premiership star Sifiso Myeni is also on trial as he looks to try and resurrect his ailing career.

I'd keep Siya captain for now, but look to have someone else for 2027.
