Cape Town - Black Leopards head coach Lionel Soccoia has confirmed star striker Mwape Musonda will be staying at the club after being included in the 18-man travelling squad to face Maritzburg United at Harry Gwala Stadium on Wednesday evening.
After finishing as the top scorer in the Absa Premiership last season, Musonda has been heavily linked with a move to Kaizer Chiefs - or even abroad.
Echoing Soccoia, Lidoda Duvha team manager Mlungisi Ngubane has confirmed that the Zambian striker is not going anywhere - at least for the foreseeable future.
"Yes he is here," Ngubane said.
"He is in the 18. The fact that he is here means he is staying."
Musonda admitted that he is unlikely to leave the club in this transfer window but could do so in the next transfer window.
"I don't think a move will be possible in this window. I had some offers but the clubs failed to come to an agreement. We will see what happens. Maybe in future a transfer can happen but for now I am with Leopards," Musonda said.
