MTN8 semi-final dates, venues confirmed

Cape Town - The Premier Soccer League has confirmed the dates and times for the MTN8 semi-finals, with Cape Town City and Mamelodi Sundowns set to kick them off.

The Citizens will host the Brazilians at Cape Town Stadium on August 25 at 15:00 before SuperSport United and Kaizer Chiefs kick off at the Lucas Moripe Stadium 24 hours later.

The only evening kick-off will take place on 1 September, with Amakhosi hosting Matsatsantsa in the return leg at FNB Stadium in a clash set for 20:15.

At 15:00 the next day, the Lucas Moripe Stadium will host its second semifinal game, with Sundowns hosting City.

Last season, SuperSport United beat Cape Town City on penalties in the final, and a repeat remains a possibility, but Giovanni Solinas and Pitso Mosimane will be doing everything in their power to avoid that.

Tickets are on sale at TicketPro outlets at R60 for adults and R15 for children under the age of 12.

No! I think the smart thing to do is start again with a younger skipper ...

I'd keep Siya captain for now, but look to have someone else for 2027.
