Cape Town - Cape Town City have announced the signing of former South Africa international Siphelele Mthembu from Free State Stars.
The 30-year-old was excellent for Ea Lla Koto last season as the club made a prolonged push for Absa Premiership honours before ultimately ending the season as Nedbank Cup champions.
He scored five goals in 30 appearances and more recently took part in the Maize Cup over the weekend.
A former Maritzburg City, Kaizer Chiefs, Orlando Pirates and Platinum Stars striker, Mthembu has signed a one-year contract with the Citizens.
A post on the club's official Twitter account welcomed the player to the club.
