Mphahlele coy on 'Downs future

Cape Town - Mamelodi Sundowns defender Ramahlwe Mphahlele has insinuated that the club would have to table a much better offer amid interest from rival clubs.

Mphahlele is believed to have a number of lucrative offers on the table from, among other teams, Kaizer Chiefs.

The 26-year-old has expressed his love for Sundowns but also warned that he has to consider what was best for his future.

"The truth is I love Sundowns and I think they are one of the best teams in the country. But football is not only about playing," Mphahlele told The Sowetan.

"There are other things you should consider. I would love to stay and have made it clear to them that I want to stay, but it has to be something that makes you happy.

"There are a lot of clubs enquiring about my services. I am free to talk to anyone. I will wait to see how things pan out."

I'd keep Siya captain for now, but look to have someone else for 2027.
