Chippa United chairperson Chippa Mpengesi is delighted to have Rulani Mokwena at the club and described his arrival as a breath of fresh air.
The 33-year-old Mokwena left Orlando Pirates to take over the reins at the Chilli Boys until the end of the season and the young tactician also brought along his 23-year-old assistant coach.
Mpangesi has welcomed the injection of youth in the backroom staff and says he looks forward to a bright new future with a new perspective.
"Yes, we've done enough now with old school guys [coaches]. Football now has changed; there's a little bit of technology; there's a little bit of understanding how the opponents play," said Mpengesi, as quoted by KickOff.
"Gone are those days where a coach will say, 'I'm only worried about my team I'm not worried about the opponent.'
"So, coach Rulani, with all his experience at Mamelodi Sundowns and Pirates, he has really brought a fresh breath now in our team. He brought the young guys, there is one who was born in 1997 - the assistant coach.
"For me, it's the first time I have a coach who is younger than me, so I enjoy this, and I wish him all the best."
