Cape Town - Golden Arrows and Baroka FC played out an entertaining 2-2 draw at the Princess Magogo Stadium in the Absa Premiership on Sunday afternoon.
Baroka took the lead against the run of play in the 17th minute. A quick release from Virgil Vries and a long solo run from Talent Chawapiwa created the chance for Gift Motupa, who punished Sandile Zuke's indecisiveness with a clinical finish through goalkeeper Nkosingiphile Gumede's legs.
The hosts were almost caught on the counter again 10 minutes later. Motupa played in strike partner Lucky Nguzana, who did well to force a corner from Gumede after his left-footed shot was pushed over the bar.
Clinton Larsen's men found a way back into the game four minutes before the break. Velemseni Ndwandwe was the creator and Danny Venter the finisher. Abafana Bes'thende's new signing cut in from the right and beat Vries at his near post with a low left-footed strike to equalise.
In the 54th minute Ndwandwe was the architect of another attempt at goal for the home team as his cross was met by Lerato Lamola, but the substitute fluffed his lines and headed wide from inside the six-yard box.
The KZN outfit completed the turnaround in the 67th minute after Vries failed to hold a shot from Lamola and Knox Mutizwa followed it up with an easy tap-in.
Fifteen minutes from time Bakgaga drew level. Motupa completed his brace after he pounced in the box after Nkanyiso Mngwengwe failed to clear and the on-loan Orlando Pirates striker netted his eighth league goal of the season to rescue a point
