Mothibantwa: Mabena better off at Dikwena

Cape Town - Lebohang Mothibantwa claims his former Orlando Pirates team-mate Ndumiso Mabena should stay at Platinum Stars after an excellent season with the Premiership outfit.

Mabena's excellent form for Cavin Johnson's side has earned him a place in Shakes Mashaba's latest Bafana squad that will take on Gambia in the 2017 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers in June.

"If I were to advise him, I would tell him to sign a long-term contract with Platinum Stars and enjoy his football there," he told Goal website.

"He is excelling and enjoying his football so much that he is even making the Bafana Bafana team.

"So there is no need to join a big team and he can learn from the situation of Siphelele Mthembu who was on top of his game while playing for Dikwena.

"Mthembu was playing with confidence, scoring goals and enjoying his game but look at him now."
