Motaung welcomes the returning Gordinho

Cape Town - Kaizer Chiefs Football Manager Bobby Motaung has welcomed the timely return of centre-back Lorenzo Gordinho, following a successful loan spell with Bloemfontein Celtic.

The 24-year-old has spent the past year with Siwelele, making 14 appearances in the second half of last season and a further 13 in the first half of the 2018/19 campaign.

And, with plenty of first-team minutes now under his belt, Gordinho will go straight into contention for Amakhosi's crunch clash with Sundowns on Saturday, January 5, 2019.

"Lorenzo will be back at training tomorrow," Bobby Motaung told club’s official website.

"Lorenzo comes back at the right time, because we have a few injuries. He got a lot of game time at Bloemfontein Celtic and, because of that, gained a lot of experience.

"It was a well spent year and we also thank Celtic for giving him the opportunity to play.

"Lorenzo learnt a lot during the past 12 months, which will help him on his return to the club."

To date, Gordinho has made 50 appearances for Chiefs, scoring seven goals in the process.
