Mosimane won't stop talking about referees

Cape Town - Mamelodi Sundowns coach Pitso Mosimane has said that he will continue to criticise the performances of referees in the Absa Premiership.

Mosimane was critical of Daniel Bennett and his team of officials in Sundowns’ goalless draw against Bloemfontein Celtic on Saturday.

“You have to budget for those things in football because if you don’t budget for that you will get frustrated. It’s okay, he [Bennett] knows. What can I do?” Mosimane was quoted as saying by the press.

“If he does his match analysis…he will do that. I think there was a break in the 90th minute this side, their [Celtic] break, the linesman was late for me. For me it looked offside.

“Maybe I am wrong. I am happy to be wrong, but I will talk. It’s my life, it’s my journey, it’s my business. I have invested a lot of emotions, all my young days from youngster to be where I am [now] and today I must play nice guy?

“I must be polite? No, I say it the way it is. It’s life, it’s football. I spend hours working hard on this thing and so I must try behave like a gentleman and don’t talk about it? No, I will talk about it.”

Saturday’s result secured Sundowns a one-point lead at the top of the standings and play Cape Town City away on Wednesday.
