Mosimane won't respond to George Maluleka 'rumour'

Mamelodi Sundowns coach Pitso Mosimane has refused to respond after it was reported that Kaizer Chiefs midfielder George Maluleka has signed a pre-contract with the Tshwane club.

Just hours before Masandawana were due to kick off against Stellenbosch FC on Wednesday, Amakhosi announced that they have failed to agree to a new deal with Maluleka.

Chiefs went on to state that the midfielder has instead signed a contract that will see him turn for Masandawana next season.

After watching his team secure a 1-0 victory over Stellies that took them to within four points of log leaders Chiefs, Mosimane refused to confirm that his club had signed Maluleka.

Mosimane told reporters: "No, I don't want to talk about George Maluleka, Sundowns must speak about George Maluleka.

"I'm not Sundowns, I'm the coach, if I'm Sundowns, then I do everything, so let Sundowns announce George Maluleka.

"Until Sundowns announce George Maluleka, then it can be official - at the moment it's a rumour.

"Do I want to be a spokesperson for Kaizer Chiefs guys, I wish I could tell you; I need to wait for my team, with all due respect, I think you understand."

Sundowns face Highlands Park in the quarterfinals of the Nedbank Cup on Saturday.
