Mosimane waiting for new Downs deal

Pitso Mosimane is confident of signing a new deal with Mamelodi Sundowns and remaining with the club for years to come.

The Downs tactician's contract is nearing its end, and with no new deal in sight, some fans have speculated that Mosimane was on his way out of the club.

But speaking to KickOff, the former SuperSport and Bafana Bafana boss allayed fears by insisting he wants to stay.

Mosimane said: "I just want to say, let's be patient. I'm positive it will happen. I don't see anything that could make it not to happen, unless something very big stops it, I don't know.

"But if I look at things in a normal way, it should happen. I've indicated that I want to stay and I think the team also wants me to stay, to be honest.

"Unless they don't care about the results and they're looking at something else, it's possible. But I don't think so. I'm so positive, because what's important is for the team to win trophies, and they've done just that."
