Mosimane: Sundowns must win against Maritzburg

Cape Town - Mamelodi Sundowns coach Pitso Mosimane has emphasised the importance of claiming all three points against Maritzburg United on Wednesday.

The Brazilians trail Premiership leaders Bidvest Wits by two points with only two games left in the season, which means a win is vital for them to maintain the pressure on the Clever Boys.

Mosimane's men failed to take advantage of Wits' defeat last week, and the 'Downs boss has made it clear that failure to win against the Team of Choice could end his side's title chase.

“It’s a must-win. If we don’t win that one, then we must forget it,” Mosimane told The New Age.

“When you don’t win you hope other people don’t win, but you have to win and never mind what other people do, you must win. If you want to win the league, you must win against Maritzburg United and that’s it.

"Maybe we will be sharper, quicker. There was no venom in our last match."

Kick off is at 19:30.
