Mosimane praises Menzo's superior tactics

Cape Town - Mamelodi Sundowns coach Pitso Mosimane concedes that Ajax Cape Town boss Stanley Menzo had a better gameplan after their 2-0 defeat on Wednesday night.

The Urban Warriors brought the highly-flying Sundowns back down to earth by snapping their three-match winning streak in the Premiership.

Ajax scored two quick goals, against the run of play, through Thabo Mosadi in the 71th minute and Ndiviwe Mdabuka in the 73rd minute.

"You must also congratulate the coach of Ajax. I was reading about how he speaks about our team, it's unbelievable how he manages to look at the team and highlight the right points and the strong points, it's unbelievable," Mosimane told SuperSport.

"These are the people who we need in our country who are going to come and work like this, he's done his work, he's a legend in Holland, we know that.

"We lost to a good team, they did exceptionally well, we left it too late, we had our chances in the first-half, we should have taken it, but we need to give credit where it's due, they did their work, they worked well and they won the game."

I'd keep Siya captain for now, but look to have someone else for 2027.
