Mosimane: Only Sundowns, Wits can complain about crazy schedules

Cape Town - Pitso Mosimane says only Mamelodi Sundowns and Bidvest Wits are allowed to request fixtures to move due to their hectic schedules.

Both Sundowns and Wits are involved in the CAF Champions League, which adds many games to their fixture list, and Mosimane has joked that the other Absa Premiership clubs have time to go shopping and pick up the kids.

Mosimane has requested to have their league clash with Stellenbosch, scheduled for 11 December, moved as they need to travel to Morocco for a game four days earlier and have the Telkom Knockout final coming up on 14 December.

"People don't understand what happens behind the scenes," he said, according to KickOff.

"We did the fixture until 23:30 recommending to the PSL now the fixtures have changed and can we move the game, with Stellenbosch being one of them. asking can we move it somewhere.

"The league says, 'Where can we put it because you are playing every Wednesday, you play after every three days, where are you going to put it?'

"So we say 'put it there'. We are suggesting to the League. Fortunately on that part the League has not been bad, they have been good to us. They have listened to us.

"The only two teams that can talk about proposing fixture changes is us and Wits and no one else.

"The rest are well-rested teams. They play every Sunday. They can do shopping on Wednesday, they can fetch children from school.

"We don't fetch children from school because we are in camp."
