Cape Town - Mamelodi Sundowns coach Pitso Mosimane admitted he was thrilled with the manner in which his side saw off Mbombela United 3-1 in the Nedbank Cup last-16 on Saturday.
Goals from Keagan Dolly, Cuthbert Malajila and Themba Zwane were enough to see the Brazilians progress past the National First Division side, who took home a consolation goal thanks to Siyethemba Mnguni's second-half strike.
And while Mosimane knows the Nedbank Cup will only get tougher from here, the coach was still delighted to see his side cruise through into the quarter-finals.
He said: "It was a beautiful game full of drama. What's important for us is to go through to the last eight.
"We scored three goals, could've scored more. Our opponents scored one. They played well. They're a good team.
"We're going to Kinshasha. We got to get a result there. It might not be as rosy as it was tonight.
"It was not very smooth, but if you have so many unavailable players like, (Anthony) Laffor, (Hlompho) Kekana, Teko (Modise), Leo (Castro). You lose a lot of fluidity, but what's important is we score three goals and we win."
