Mosimane: Downs have winning culture

Mamelodi Sundowns head coach Pitso Mosimane believes his team's big match temperament will give them an edge in their two upcoming cup finals.

The Brazilians have been in outsnading form this season having qualified for both the MTN8 and CAF Champions League finals.

On Saturday, the Premiership champions will take on Wits at the Mbombela Stadium in the top eight cup decider.

Mosimane pointed out that his team advanced to the finals despite tricky runs in both competitions.

"I said also before the game of Chippa United that in my opinion we have a little bit of an edge because we know how to play these games," Mosimane told KickOff.

"We normally don't have butterflies in our stomachs when we are faced with a game that is a win at all cost. I mean how many winner at all cost games have we played lately?

"We have an edge of knowing how to play this game [finals]. We have the advantage because we are used to big games and we know when to put the music on and we know there is a time that we have to effective and try to get the goal.

"Then against ZESCO here at home we also wanted the goal in the first 15 minutes, that is how we played against Chippa, we had them in the corner in the first 15 minutes to get a goal.

"Once we were comfortable with 1-0 and 2-0 the boys started playing their combination play and it was beautiful to watch the last 15 minutes of Sundowns playing against ZESCO. I haven't seen that in a long time because we have been playing for results to score."
