Mosimane: Dolly must still learn

Cape Town - Mamelodi Sundowns coach Pitso Mosimane believes that South Africa U23 international captain Keagan Dolly still has a lot to learn before he can think about a move abroad.

Sundowns booked their spot in the MTN8 final with a 1-0 victory over Chippa United, following a 75th minute strike by Anthony Laffor. Dolly had a frustrating match and Mosimane believes that he must come to terms with the game not always going his way.

"Keagan, the ball was not falling for him, it was not flowing," the Brazilians head coach told SuperSport.

"He's not been playing very well in the last two games, even in Zambia, but I told him this happens, it's part of football, he's young, he must also understand.

"And this is what he learns before everybody must speak about Keagan playing overseas and giving him that kind of overseas [move] when he's not yet ready."

The former Bafana Bafana boss is adamant that the winger is a great player, but says he is not quite the finished article yet.

"He needs a little bit of time because you need to be able to be deal with this before you go overseas," Mosimane added.

"Great player, great player, no doubt about it, he's helped us a lot but it's a learning curve also for everybody who's making a lot of noise that Keagan must go overseas."

"Quality player, he needs some time," he concluded.
