Cape Town - Mamelodi Sundowns coach Pitso Mosimane believes that the club are at an advantage in the Premiership title race because they are winning their games in hand.
The Brazilians are just three points behind leaders SuperSport United although they have an incredible four games in hand on Matsatsantsa.
A 2-0 victory over a powerful Bidvest Wits side last weekend cemented the fact that the African champions appear to be the team to beat once again in 2016/17.
Mosimane has admitted his delight at the progress being made ahead of Sundowns' clash with Chippa United on Tuesday.
"We are just taking one game at a time and we're not looking up the log," Mosimane said.
"What's good for us now is that we're three points ahead of our schedule so we need to win against Chippa United to complete our first block of fixtures and deposit those points in the other block of matches.
"If we carry on in that manner‚ we're en route for the same number of points we had last season. I don't know whether we'll get there because of injuries and stuff."
Anthony Laffor, Khama Billiat, Anele Ngcongca and Denis Onyango are all ruled out with injury.
Kick off is at 19:30.
