Cape Town - Genuinely disappointed at University of Pretoria's relegation, Thabo Mosadi hopes to leave a more positive legacy at Ajax Cape Town.
Mosadi's move to the Urban Warriors was confirmed on Monday, the AmaTuks winger joining new signings Erick Chipeta, Joaquim Lupeta and seven youth academy graduates at Ikamva.
The 25-year-old, who spent four seasons and played over 100 games for the university outfit, feels his former team-mates could have done more to help avoid relegation.
"I was obviously bitterly disappointed to see the team relegated," Mosadi told Goal.com website. "Personally, I got injured and I could not play all of the games and from my part, I'm disappointed that I could not do enough to save the team.
"As a team, we did not do enough to prevent the club from going down and that did not go down well."
But having swapped Tshwane for Cape Town, Mosadi admits to admiring Ajax and hopes to begin a successful new chapter in his career with Roger De Sa's side.
"Ajax are a team that have always excited me and I am looking forward to the challenge," he added.
"They play an attractive blend of football and I think I will fit in quiet well. I am looking forward to making many memories and I am thankful in their effort to bring me here."
