Morton signs two-year extension

Cape Town - SuperSport United midfielder Michael Morton has extended his stay with the Absa Premiership for another two years.

Morton's contract with Matsatsantsa was due to end in June, but his agent, Steve Kapeluschnik, has confirmed that the 27-year-old has signed on for Stuart Baxter's side.

"Michael Morton has signed a two-year extension that will see him stay with SuperSport United until June 2018," Kapeluschnik told KickOff.

The former Bidvest Wits, Orlando Pirates and Maritzburg United player underlined his commitment to the Tshwane club.

"I have always given 100 percent effort for the club. I am really happy to continue playing for SuperSport United," he said.

"I am really grateful for the opportunity the club has afforded me to continue playing for them."
