Cape Town - Mamelodi Sundowns midfielder Surprise Moriri has dismissed talk of hanging up his boots, saying he intends to keep playing football at the highest level.
The veteran midfielder is said to be in contact with the Brazilians management about signing a new deal with the club he's been loyal to for the past 12 years.
According to Sundowns general manager Sizwe Nzimande, Moriri is still valued amongst the squad and management as his vast experience is seen as a major asset.
"It's always a difficult decision (to quit playing) for any player. In his heart of hearts, I think, he still wants to play. We will have discussions in private. We will make an announcement once we have reached a conclusion," Nzimande told the Sowetan Live.
Despite being a fringe member of Pitso Mosimane's squad for the past few seasons, Moriri has appeared 167 times for the Brazilians, scoring 32 times and contributing 11 assists since joining the club from Silver Stars.
