Cape Town - New Mamelodi Sundowns winger Thapelo Morena revealed that he chose to join the Premiership champions as they the best fit for his style of football.
The Brazilians beat Kaizer Chiefs and Orlando Pirates to the signature of Morena following a stellar last season at Bloemfontein Celtic.
The 22-year-old opted to join the star-studded Brazilians to test himself against the best footballers in the country.
"I chose Sundowns because of the style of play and mostly because they are collecting titles," he told the Sowetan Live.
"Chiefs and Pirates [were interested]. I spoke to my agent because he was the one talking to them. I chose Sundowns.
"It was a hard decision because Bloemfontein Celtic put me where I am now. I have delivered a lot to them. They were my first family and Sundowns will be my second family. I just have to deliver the same way I did at Celtic. I am going to give my all.
"One thing my late mother used to say to me is 'where there's competition, that's where you will reveal your best'. There's a lot of competition at 'Downs, so I have to work very hard."
