Cape Town - New Kaizer Chiefs striker Ryan Moon has expressed his ambitions of becoming one of the all-time great players at the Naturena club.
Amakhosi poached Moon from Maritzburg United where the 19-year-old worked with coach Steve Komphela before he moved to Chiefs.
Moon represented his new club in the recently concluded F.A.M.E. Cup pre-season tournament and was happy with his level of performance.
"I want to score goals for Chiefs. I am dedicated to my career and believe I will record my name in the history books of the club," he told KickOff website.
"My first touch was perfect. I received a pass, I turned nicely and created a scoring opportunity for us.
"After that move, I settled well and started to feel the heaviness of the Gold and Black, dropping off my shoulder."
Moon admits that it felt like a dream to make his debut for Chiefs in the 2-0 win against Orlando Pirates in the Carling Black Label Cup.
"I watched TV that morning and they played the previous Carling Black Label Cup matches. Right there, I felt the excitement building up," he explained.
"From driving in the bus to the stadium and going through the pitch inspection was a breath-taking experience. After the match I told my father, who had called to congratulate me, that the experience was beyond measure."
