Cape Town - Kaizer Chiefs forward Ryan Moon says he is learning from the more experienced campaigners in the team and is adamant that his time to play will soon arrive.

The highly-rated youngster is yet to make his official first-team debut for Chiefs since making a move from Maritzburg United in the recent transfer window. However, Moon says he is determined to learn from the veterans in Steve Komphela's team.

"I'm learning a lot from the likes of Bernard Parker, Siphiwe Tshabalala and all the experienced guys - there are a lot in the team I can learn from," he told kickoff.

"They have all been very encouraging since I've come into the team and I've been taking a little bit from Bernard, I've been taking a little bit from 'Shabba' and I'm beginning to see it in my own game. I'm enjoying it, I'm loving it at Chiefs.

"They can see I'm young so they want to groom me to be the striker that they want me to be. I'm in a building stage, they see me as one for the future so I've got to take it one game at a time and continue to learn."

The pacy striker has featured in both games for the Multichoice Diski Challenge team thus far, garnering a 4-0 loss and a 1-0 victory against Bidvest Wits and Ajax Cape Town respectively.

The younger brother of former Bafana Bafana defender Bryce Moon says he is under no illusions following his move to the Soweto giants and stressed that only hard work would guarantee him some game-time.

"I need to show them that I can play and I can make a PSL appearance, it's all about working hard and not letting it  get to your head because as a youngster if you think by coming to Chiefs you've arrived you're as good as gone," he added.

"You just have to put your head down and work even harder."
