Montpellier join race to sign Dolly

Cape Town - Mamelodi Sundowns and South Africa international Keagan Dolly is attracting interest from clubs in France and Greece, a report has claimed.

The past 12 months have seen Dolly winning the domestic league and Champions League titles with Sundowns, taking part at the Olympic Games for the SA U-23 side, and also becoming a regular for the senior national team.

According to a source quoted by KickOff, the former Ajax Cape Town play-maker's exploits have not gone unnoticed in Europe.

"There is huge interest in Greece and France. Montpellier is also now in the picture."

Dolly is, however, currently locked in a dispute with his club, who have taken him to the PSL's Dispute Resolution Chamber as they feel the buy-out clause in his contract is not correct and is too low.

The amount currently in the contract is thought to be around 800,000 euro. The player turns 24 in January.

No! I think the smart thing to do is start again with a younger skipper ...

I'd keep Siya captain for now, but look to have someone else for 2027.
