Cape Town - Bidvest Wits midfielder Thabang Monare was somewhat disappointed after playing to a 1-1 draw against Mamelodi Sundowns on Tuesday and called for an improvement from his team ahead of their next match.
The Students needed a Gift Motupa strike as they came from behind to force a draw against the defending league champions after Gaston Sirino had given Sundowns the lead at the Moses Mabhida Stadium.
Wits do not have time to dwell on the result as they host Cape Town City in a league clash on Friday.
In quotes published on his club's webite, Monare said: "I feel we could have done better, a point is not bad, but we have a game on Friday and that is where we need to improve.
"A point isn't bad, but we need to improve."
The Clever Boys will not have much of a festive season break as after the game on Friday they will be back in Caf Confederations Cup action as they host Libya's Al Nasr on 29 December.
The club then have eight fixtures scheduled for the month of January.
Monare continued: "Hectic schedule, but we are looking forward to the next game, especially after tonight’s [Tuesday] game, so we look forward to that and getting all three points."
