Cape Town - Chippa United coach Teboho Moloi has compared Chilli Boys attacker Samuel Julies to the late former Mamelodi Sundowns great Bennett Masinga.
Julies got very little game-time during his time at Mamelodi Sundowns and spent several seasons out on loan in the National First Division.
But he has made a storming start to his time with Chippa, scoring the winner against Sundowns in the Telkom Knockout last weekend before netting both goals in his side's 2-0 win away at Bidvest Wits in the league on Wednesday.
Moloi feels that Julies is a perfect fit for the Eastern Cape-based club.
"I have said it before that Julies is like the late Bennett Masinga," Moloi told KickOff website.
"It's up to you how you want to use him. Coaches come in our country and they get short strikers and they tell you that the boy can't hold it (the ball) up.
"At Chippa we play the South African style of football and it suits him and he will continue where he left off."
After a stop-start career, it seems that Julies will finally be getting his wish of playing regulary in the top flight.
"He went to the School of Excellence and from there he went to Sundowns. It tells you that wherever he went he learnt," Moloi stated.
"The boy is clinical, what else do you want from him? He's got pace and you might undermine him for his height but he has got strength. So with me he will always play."
