Chippa United coach Rulani Mokwena says it's not up to him to decide whether he stays at the Port-Elizabeth outfit beyond the current season.

The former Orlando Pirates coach says he remains under the employ of the Soweto giants, and that Chippa would need to come to an agreement with Bucs if they intend to keep him as their head coach.

Mokwena also revealed that the Chilli Boys are interested in his services beyond this campaign but that he doesn't spend too much time worrying about that as it's out of his control.

"There is a discussion, but it is up to the two clubs to make a decision. I am still employed by Orlando Pirates and it's up to them and Chippa United to come to that sort of decision," Mokwena told PowerFM.

"But the chairman of Chippa United has shown the willingness to try and keep me beyond the current period."

"But at this moment in time, we just have to move with what we have. My focus isn't even on myself, my contract or my stay or (whether) I am going to be coaching next season. I think it would be selfish of us to think about that."
