Cape Town - New Ajax Cape Town signing Lebohang Mokoena still has hopes of making an appearance for Bafana Bafana after a four year absence in the national team.
The 29-year-old recently joined the Urban Warriors after spending seven years at Mamelodi Sundowns - where he spent most of his time on the fringes of the first-team squad.
His last appearance for the national team was in 2012 in the 3-1 friendly victory over Gabon at the Mbombela Stadium and despite falling off the radar of national selectors - Cheeseboy feels he still has the ability to add value to Bafana Bafana.
"I sometimes do meet up with coach Shakes Mashaba, but you can never be selected when you're not playing," he told KickOff website. "That was one of my setbacks.
"Guys that I grew up with are active in the national team. I'm not active because I haven't been playing at Sundowns. If I play, I would definitely get back in the Bafana setup. I have that belief."
