Mohomi: I'm not Zungu’s replacement

Pretoria - Newly signed Mamelodi Sundowns midfielder Lucky Mohomi says the Brazilians supporters’ must not view him as Bongani Zungu’s replacement and he has no intentions to fill the void left by the former University of Pretoria star.

Mohomi penned a three-year deal with the reigning Absa Premiership champions last month after spending a season at Free State Stars.

The Mamelodi born hinted that he wants to do his part by contributing further to the team success without being compared to Zungu.

"No, I don’t regard myself as Bongani Zungu’s replacement," insisted Mohomi.

"Because he (Zungu) has served the team very well and I’m also here to do my bit to help the club win more accolades.

"I also want to achieve a lot here; I want to contribute further to a team success.

"I believe that it’ll be possible through hard work and working as a team."
