Cape Town - SuperSport United winger Aubrey Modiba is ready to once again focus on Matsatsantsa following a failed move to Mamelodi Sundowns.
The 24-year-old was a transfer target for the defending Absa Premiership champions in the off-season, but SuperSport turned down the multi-million rand offer that was on the table.
With that in mind, all eyes will be on Modiba on Wednesday night when the two Tshwane sides face off in the second leg of the MTN8 semi-final at Lucas Moripe Stadium.
"Obviously I want to perform better in each and every game. I just want to put everything behind me because now the window is closed," Modiba told the media on Monday.
"I have to focus on the team because I still have a contract with SuperSport. I feel great, I am good to go. I have been training well and I think I did my recovery well. The team made sure that I recover fully."
Modiba has had limited game-time so far this season, after suffering a hamstring injury in the league opener, coming off after 33 minutes of the match against Pitso Mosimane's side.
"It [the injury] did affect me a bit; I was very disappointed because it happened in the very first game of the league. But I will not dwell on that," Modiba added.
Sundowns go into Wednesday's second leg with the edge, having scored an away goal in the 1-1 draw a fortnight ago.
