Cape Town - Mpumalanga Black Aces defender Aubrey Modiba says the success of Keagan Dolly this season will inspire him to work harder.
After being crowned as the Premiership's young player of the season, Modiba highlighted the progress of Dolly, a former winner of the award.
Dolly picked up the accolade in 2014 after an excellent individual campaign with Ajax Cape Town and went on to re-sign for former club Mamelodi Sundowns for R 7m, and was nominated this term for player of the season, midfielder of the season and fans' player of the season.
"I was looking at his [Dolly's] progress, now he was nominated for three awards - top awards," Modiba told Goal website.
"I am taking every game as it comes. I am eager to better this next season and obviously do well for the team and win silverware. I want to be back at the awards next year."
The 20-year old left-back featured 25 times in the league under Muhsin Ertugral in his breakthrough season and went on to pay homage to those involved in his development from the youth ranks.
"This award means a lot, I have been working very hard for it and I am happy that I got it. It is not about me, it is about teamwork and the technical team who gave me the platform. I am very excited and happy," he added.
