Cape Town - Cape Town City FC have reportedly secured the signature of out of favour Orlando Pirates utility player Abbubaker Mobara.
Mobara featured very little in 2018/19 for the Sea Robbers and it appears his career at Bucs is coming to an end.
The Bafana Bafana international started his career well with Pirates in his debut season, but has since fallen out of favour under head coach Milutin Sredojevic and his technical team.
The 25-year-old has over a century of Premiership matches under his belt and it comes as little surprise that he has been linked with a number of big sides, including City.
Nonetheless, it seems the citizens have bagged his services ahead of 2019/20 as the club looks to build on a top four finish and a MTN8 triumph under coach Benni McCarthy.
Mobara can play in a variety of position but mainly has featured as either a right-back or a defensive midfielder.
His arrival in the Mother City no doubt comes as a boost with the side losing Kwanda Mngonyama and Judas Mosemaedi to Maritzburg United, whereas, the legendary Teko Modise has hung up his boots.
