Mobara ruled out for two months

Cape Town - Cape Town City have been dealt a blow with the news that utility player Abbubaker Mobara has been ruled out for two months with torn ankle ligaments.

Cape Town born-and-bred Mobara, who joined City after being released by Orlando Pirates at the end of last season, sustained the injury in the 1-1 draw with Golden Arrows on Sunday.

The 25-year-old has been an integral of Citizens coach Benni McCarthy's plans since arriving at the club, starting all but two of City's games this season.

Thankfully for McCarthy, central midfielder Roland Putsche is back in training and ready to fill the void.
