Mobara, Morris set for Ajax Amsterdam trial

Cape Town - Ajax Cape Town confirmed that Abbubaker Mobara and Tashreeq Morris are set to undergo trials at Ajax Amsterdam.

According to the club's official Twitter account, the duo will spend a week in Netherlands hoping to crack a deal with 33 times Eredivisie champions.

Mobara, 22, can play in defence and midfield while Morris, 21, is a striker that has a lot of potential.

The pair will be hoping to be the first to switch allegiance from Cape Town to Netherlands since Thulani Serero in 2011.

Mobara broke into the senior team in 2012/13 season while Morris made his debut in October 2013.

This is likely Mobara and Morris’s last chance to prove their worth to Amsterdam given their age. The Netherlands franchise rarely pen down prevailing players who already in their 20’s.
