Mlambo admits that Bidvest Wits face a tough test against Mamelodi
Sundowns in Tuesday's Premiership clash at the BidVest Stadium in
Johannesburg, despite coming off a win against Kaizer Chiefs.
The Clever Boys beat Amakhosi 1-0 last Saturday in their Telkom Knockout semi-final courtesy of a James Keene goal. Mlambo was later voted Man-of-the-Match for his display.
Despite the morale-boosting triumph against an in-form Glamour Boys outfit, the 26-year-old is taking nothing for granted ahead of facing an always talented and dangerous Sundowns team.
Speaking to reporters, he said: "We have to respect every opponent that we are facing. I mean, it's a different ball game. This was a cup game and the one we are going to is a league game. We must have the same approach and fighting spirit.
"Hopefully, Lady Luck will be on our side again. It's never easy playing teams like Sundowns, Chiefs and Pirates. You always have to fight, grind or whatever it takes to get a win."
Currently, the Students occupy 15th place after a difficult start to the campaign, although signs are there of improving fortunes. Meanwhile, the Brazilians are in eighth place after losing three of their last five matches.
Kick off is at 19:30.
